Scotland. Let's Do Net Zero.
Everything We Do Adds Up
Scotland welcomed the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 to Glasgow from the 31 October – 12 November. The city rose to the occasion and played its part by welcoming thousands of delegates, representatives, scientists and climate activists from around the world. Scotland is committed to reach net zero emissions by 2045. Together with global action from Governments, businesses and people we can end our contribution to climate change within a generation.

Scotland's Commitment
Scotland was one of the first countries in the world to declare a climate emergency and in the last 30 years we've halved our greenhouse gas emissions. As part of our ongoing commitment to protect people and our planet, we've set a world-leading target to reach net zero emissions by 2045.
Net zero is vital for people, nature and our climate. It will bring new opportunities, transform our economy and our society and we are committed to getting there in a way that is fair, leaves no one behind and benefits all of us.
This is Scotland's moment to act. Our moment to do net zero.

Actions You Can Take
It will take every single one of us acting together to tackle the climate emergency. We can all play our part by thinking about how we travel, what we buy, reducing our waste, changing how we use energy at home and taking steps to reduce our carbon emissions wherever we can. We are already making changes across Scotland, together we can do even more. Choose to make a difference every day. Choose to do net zero.
