In November 2021, the United Nations COP26 Climate Summit took place in Glasgow, Scotland. It was one of the biggest events of its kind to be hosted in our country with c. 200 world leaders in attendance.

Education Scotland is asking every school and setting to build a lasting legacy for the COP26 conference by ensuring that all learners in Scotland receive their entitlement to Learning for Sustainability, an entitlement that is embedded within Scotland’s curriculum. This will be supported through a strengthened Learning for Sustainability Action Plan.

Discover the range of support and resources available for education settings and learners on the five key climate education themes of the COP26 Conference:

        1. Nature
        2. Clean transport
        3. Energy transition
        4. Finance
        5. Adaptation and resilience

Use these alongside Education Scotland's other resources and professional learning to build engagement in learning for sustainabilityoutdoor learning and climate change.
