This event will inspire and equip climate and cultural policymakers to work together using culture as a powerful resource for climate action.

The arts and media, historic places, museums, libraries and galleries hold essential skills and knowledge which are as yet untapped by climate policymakers.

Climate-conscious Scottish-Nigerian supermodel Eunice Olumide narrates a powerful short film. Climate and cultural leaders will provide eloquent examples of collaborations in climate action. We end with a Q&A to identify your next steps in working jointly with cultural and climate colleagues.

Speakers include:

  • Ewan Hyslop, Historic Environment Scotland / Climate Heritage Network (Chair)
  • Sir John Leighton, National Galleries of Scotland
  • Prof. Dave Reay, Climate Change Institute, University of Edinburgh
  • Prof. James Curran, Climate Ready Clyde
