Re-imagining and diversifying the use of the world's inland waterways is a critical part of the global effort to achieve net zero and mitigate flood risk.

Scottish Canals, along with partners in the public, private and third sectors, has created Europe's first dynamic canal system in North Glasgow – the Glasgow Smart Canal – which is helping tackle health inequalities in some of Europe's most deprived communities, attract investment and create sustainable places.
